CONDOLENCE MESSAGE TO THE FAMILY OF LATE DR. EMMANUEL UMOH

The news of the transition of our brother, Dr. Emmanuel Umoh, was petrifying to say the least. We
were morbid-shocked and distraught to learn of the loss of a very good brother who sacrificed a lot to
stand by us individually and collectively.
Emmanuel was a graduand of HOFACO '74 set, our classmate. He was a lively, effable and kind
personality. He was one who took deep interests in our endeavors in trying to re-live our memories of
the good old years when we, as toddlers, bonded together by providence in pursuit of a future we did
not know what it held in store for us and the larger society. The closeness we shared together
illuminated our path while traversing the dark alleys of our lives during those impressionistic years. We
knew nothing then but wished for a future our imagination and adolescent exuberance could
conjecture. As we reminisced those dreamy and sometimes dreary years today, our memories take us
to the realities of an opaque world of limited dimensionality. A world where we saw ourselves from
oblige angle, not knowing how limited our vision was given that we could only live in surrender to
divine dictates which we continue to see in parts as time points the way. That reality, in part explains,
unfortunately, why we all would exit this finite world
If there was something we looked forward to in the near future, it certainly was not Emmanuel's
unannounced departure so soon. It is this type of surprise that bears testimony to the omniscient
power of divine creation.
This message is our sincere obeisance to our transiting brother and empathy with Mrs. Emmanuel
Umoh, his dear wife, his highly cherished children and his eminent associates in and out of business.
We obviously groan over the suddenness of his exit and are one with every sympathizer over this loss.
We however counsel the family to accept the will of God as Emmanuel bows out at the last gate of life
and transiting to a new realm. This painful experience beacons on us to audit our lives every second
of the day in anticipation of unannounced heavenly call. Dr. Emmanuel Umoh, had given his best. What
is left is for us to understand the philosophy that underlie this solemn moment. We encourage you the
family to take heart, and pray for God's grace to bear this irreparable loss and the concomitant
challenges his departure may portend. We loved him. We still love him, and mourn with you during
this very trying times
May the Lord accommodate his soul in his bosom and grant him eternal rest in Jesus Mighty name.
